Sherline CNC systems with computers are available by factory direct purchase only. The can be ordered by calling the number below or by visiting our on-line ordering site at www.sherlinedirect.com. CNC systems where the dealer or customer supply their own computers can be purchased direct from Sherline or through Sherline dealers.

NOTE: All machines come equipped with a Hi-torque DC Motor and Speed Control that operates at 100V. through 240V., 50 or 60 Hz. with no change in performance.
Lathes include: faceplate, drive dog, #0 and #1 Morse dead centers, tool post, 1/4" HSS cutting tool, 2 spindle bars, 4 hex adjustment keys, #0 and #1 Morse chuck arbors with drawbolt and 48-page color instruction and assembly guide book.
Mills include: 3 Hex adjustment keys, 1 spindle bar and color instruction and assembly guide book. 2000 and 5400 mills include 1/4" Jacobs drill chuck, 5400 mill includes 1297 headstock spacer block. After 3/11/10 CNC mills include an oil reservoir and distribution system in the mill saddle to keep the X- and Y-axis leadscrews lubricated.
Machines are available with inch or metric leadscrews. Handwheels for use on the rear shaft of the stepper motor are also provided for manual control. Using the proper g-code, either inch or metric machines can be programmed to work with either inch or metric numbers.
Prices effective October 1, 2003 on accessories and machines. Prices on systems including computer changed slightly 5/7/08 due to increased costs for going from 256 MB to 512 MB for RAM. Mills increased $25.00 3/11/10 due to addition of automatic leadscrew oiling system. Weights are listed in pounds, prices are in US dollars.

Purchasing CNC Systems without a computerAny Sherline CNC system listed above can be purchased without a computer if you wish to use your own computer and install your own software. Simply order the CNC-ready lathe or mill of your choice from our regular Machine Tools and Packages price list and add one of the following part numbers to complete the package. The machine will come with stepper motor mounts, and this package will include 2 stepper motors (lathe) or 3 stepper motors (mill), the 8760 4-axis driver box and our Linux/EMC software on CD should you choose to wish to install it yourself. Note that purchasing your system in this manner will save you over $600.00 but does NOT include a computer, software installation or support. NOTE: Linux/EMC requires a computer with at least 800 Mhz clock speed (Pentium 3 class or better) with at least 256 MB RAM, CD-ROM or DVD drive and 25-pin parallel port. |
