DC Motor Recall Notice—Hill House Motors Only

Purchased prior to July 24, 2009

Only motors clearly marked "Hill House Products" and purchased before July 24, 2009 are affected.

DC MOTOR RECALL NOTICE

Sherline Products has recently become aware of a potential defect in some of the Hill House DC spindle motors we supplied prior to July 24th, 2009. Approximately 400 of these Hill House motors have been shipped to customers over the past year. This is a defect that, over time, could possibly cause an internal short. It is relatively easy to fix; however, if you prefer to send your motor and speed control to Sherline, we will be happy to fix it for you regardless of its warranty status. DC Motors with the following labels are NOT affected by the recall:

Leeson motors labeled "Leeson", Leeson motors labeled "Sherline" and motors labeled "PROTECH" are NOT affected by the recall.
