Carl Hammons-1936-1997

It is with the deepest regret that we must announce that Carl Hammons passed away on Thursday, September 11, 1997 from complications due to a heart attack suffered two days earlier. Carl has been with Sherline Products almost since its inception and was also a longtime friend and partner with owner, Joe Martin, in another business even before Sherline was started. Their friendship began as fellow radio controlled airplane model builders and spans over 25 years. Carl shares much of the responsibility for the early growth of both Martin Enterprises and Sherline Products as well as their continued success. His skills as an engineer as well as a designer, model maker and computer programmer will be greatly missed. Missed even more will be his calm, easy-going manner and good sense of humor.
