Note that the 8″ crosslide is .850″ thick instead of the standard 6″ crosslide, which is .625″ thick. This thicker crosslide is for customers wanting a sturdier table for milling on their lathe.
Standard Sherline lathe tooling must be modified when this thicker crosslide is mounted on a Sherline lathe.
