Lathe and Mill Accessory Packages

Sherline lathes and mills can be ordered with a complement of selected tools. This helps you select the most popular accessories to go with your new machine and saves you money at the same time. Shown below are the accessory packages that can be ordered with any machine, whether it be manual, DRO or CNC. Click on any of the photos to enlarge for more detail. 4000-series lathes have standard handwheels and a plain tool post, while 4400-series lathes feature adjustable zero handwheels and a rocker tool post. LATHE PACKAGES

Standard equipment with all lathes includes a faceplate, drive dog, 2 Tommy bars, #1 and #0 Morse dead centers, and two hex adjustment keys. The 4000-series lathes have a 3.5″ swing and 8″ between centers. The 4400-series lathes have a 3.5″ swing and 17″ between centers.

A Package

The A package Includes two chucks: a 3-jaw self-center chuck and a drill chuck with drawbolt and key.

4000-series lathes include a 2.5″ 3-jaw self-center chuck and a 1/4″ drill chuck. 4400-series lathes include a 3.1″ 3-jaw self-center chuck and a 3/8″ drill chuck.

MILLING MACHINE PACKAGES

Standard equipment included with each mill consists of a Tommy bar and three hex adjustment keys. The 5400-series deluxe mills also include a 1/4″ drill chuck and a headstock spacer block, plus adjustable zero handwheels and laser engraved reference scales on the base and table. The 2000-series mills include the same standard equipment as the 5400-series mills, except that the headstock spacer block is not included, as it is not necessary due to the adjustment capabilities of the 2000 mill. The 5800-series NexGen Mill Features an Extra-Rigid Column Base, a 15″ Extended Column Bed, an 18″ Extended Mill Table, and an 18″ Mill Base, 7″ x 13″ Tooling Plate (3 T-slots, Alignment Pins), Y-axis covers—Mill Accordion Way Cover Set and extended 12″ brass rear leadscrew cover.

5000-series mills have a 10″ base with 3″ of Y-axis travel, 5400-series mills have a 12″ base with 5″ of Y-axis travel, 2000-series mills have a 14″ base with 7″ of Y-axis travel, and 5800-series mills have an 18″ base with 9″ of Y-axis travel.

A Package

Only an A package is offered as an option for Sherline mills, but it includes a good selection of the most needed accessories. Included are:
