Product Description
The rear side cutoff, multi-tool holder, was designed to complement our four-position, gang-tooling tool posts. It can be used in conjunction with the gang-tooling tool post or on its own for our customers who want to convert their Sherline lathe into a “Chucker Lathe” or gang-tooling lathe.
This tool holder is designed to be used on the backside of the part with the cutoff blade mounted with the cutting edge facing down. The cutoff blade cannot be used on the front side of the part.
Our rear-side cutoff multi-tool holder offers a convenient and accurate way to hold up to two round boring tools with a known center-line-to-center-line distance of 1.500″, and a slot for holding a cutoff tool blade.
We also offer a tool holder for customers who want to use ER16 collet holders with a 5/8″ shank.

Using the Part-Off Tool
This holder can be mounted as shown in Figure 1, so the blade is in front of the crosslide. This will allow you to cut off larger diameter parts as long as the section to be parted off does not exceed 1.0” in length (the distance between the back of the part-off blade and the front of the crosslide).
